盲人摸象

“Mángrénmōxiàng”

从前,有五个盲人碰到一头大象。
第一个瞎子摸到大象的呀,说,“大象像根尖长的萝卜。” 
第二个瞎子摸了大象的耳朵,说,“大象是个簸箕。” 
第三个瞎子摸到的是大象的腿,说,“大象是根柱子!” 
第四个瞎子爬到大象上面,就说,“不对!大象真的像一张床!” 
第五个瞎子正好摸到了大象的尾巴,说到,“你们都在说什么呢?大象真的是有根绳子!” 
这时候,一个人听见了这五位盲人说的话,就走过来哈哈大笑,说,“真是盲人摸象,越摸越不象。”

Once upon a time, a five blind people saw an elephant.

The first man touched the elephant’s tusk and stated, “The elephant is like a carrot.”

The second blind man touched its ear and stated, “An elephant is a dustpan.”

The third blind man touched its legs and stated, “An elephant is a sturdy post!”

The fourth man climbed on top of the elephant and stated, “No! An elephant is actually a bed!”

The fifth man felt the elephant’s tail and stated, “What are you guys all talking about? An elephant really is a piece of rope!”

At that time, a person who heard the whole conversation walked over laughing and said, “This is really blind men feeling an elephant, the more they feel it, the less they realize what it is.”
